Non-Therapeutic Tabletop Role-Playing Game Community for Veterans and First Responders

Introduction

This Member Agreement (“Agreement”) is entered into by and between Roll2Heal, a non-profit organization (“Organization”), and the undersigned individual (“Member”), a veteran or first responder participating in Roll2Heal’s tabletop role-playing game (TTRPG) sessions. The purpose of this Agreement is to clarify the nature of Roll2Heal’s services, outline participant responsibilities, and establish the Organization’s non-liability for certain actions or outcomes

By signing this Agreement, the Member acknowledges understanding and agreeing to the terms outlined below

1. Purpose and Scope of Roll2Heal Sessions

Roll2Heal organizes TTRPG sessions to provide a supportive and recreational community for veterans and first responders. These sessions are designed to foster social engagement, camaraderie, and stress relief through collaborative storytelling and gaming.

Non-Therapeutic Nature: Roll2Heal sessions are not therapy or mental health treatment. They are recreational activities intended to promote relaxation and social connection, which may help alleviate stress associated with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) but are not designed or intended to treat or manage PTSD or any other medical or psychological condition
No Professional Services: Roll2Heal does not employ licensed therapists or medical professionals to provide clinical services during sessions. Members should not consider participation in Roll2Heal activities as a substitute for professional mental health care

2. Non-Liability for Member Actions

Roll2Heal is not responsible or liable for the actions, behaviors, or decisions of any Member, including those that may be influenced by PTSD or other mental health conditions. Specifically

PTSD Episodes: The Organization acknowledges that some Members may experience PTSD-related episodes. Roll2Heal is not liable for any harm, injury, or damages caused by a member’s actions during or as a result of such episodes, whether to themselves, other Members, or third parties
Independent Actions: Members are solely responsible for their own conduct during and outside of Roll2Heal sessions. The Organization does not assume responsibility for monitoring or controlling Member behavior

3. Encouragement of Peer Support

Roll2Heal fosters a community of mutual support among Members. While the Organization does not provide professional crisis intervention, Members are encouraged to:

Reach out to one another for emotional support during times of distress, including PTSD-related crises, in a manner that is respectful and consensual.
Share resources, such as contact information for professional mental health services, when appropriate

Members acknowledge that any peer support provided is voluntary and not facilitated or supervised by Roll2Heal. The Organization is not liable for the outcomes of such interactions

4. Release of Liability

By participating in Roll2Heal sessions, the Member agrees to release, waive, and discharge Roll2Heal, its officers, volunteers, and affiliates from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action arising out of or related to:

Any physical, emotional, or financial harm experienced during or as a result of participation in Roll2Heal sessions.
Any actions taken by other Members, including those related to PTSD or other mental health conditions.
The Member’s own actions or decisions during or outside of sessions.

This release of liability is intended to protect Roll2Heal from legal action, including but not limited to lawsuits related to Member conduct or the outcomes of participation.

5. Member Responsibilities

Members agree to:

Participate in Roll2Heal sessions respectfully and in good faith, adhering to community guidelines provided by the Organization.
Seek professional mental health care from licensed providers for the treatment of PTSD or other medical or psychological conditions, as needed.
Acknowledge that Roll2Heal is not a substitute for professional care and that participation is at the Member’s own risk

6. Termination of Participation

Roll2Heal reserves the right to terminate a Member’s participation in sessions at its discretion, including for behavior that disrupts the community or violates this Agreement. Termination does not affect the Member’s obligations under this Agreement.

7. Acknowledgment and Signature

By signing below, the Member acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the terms of this Agreement. The Member further acknowledges that Roll2Heal sessions are recreational, non-therapeutic activities, and that the Organization is not liable for Member actions or outcomes related to participation.

Protection of Confidential Business Information

Introduction

This Non-Disclosure Agreement (“Agreement”) is entered into by and between Roll2Heal, a nonprofit organization (“Organization”), and the undersigned individual (“Recipient”), who is an officer, member, or volunteer of Roll2Heal. The purpose of this Agreement is to protect the confidentiality of Roll2Heals proprietary and sensitive business information, including specific business practices and documents, shared with or accessed by the Recipient in connection with their role.

By signing this Agreement, the Recipient acknowledges their obligation to maintain the confidentiality of the Organizations confidential information as outlined below.

1. Definition of Confidential Information

For the purposes of this Agreement, “Confidential Information” includes, but is not limited to, the following types of information, whether in written, electronic, oral, or other form, that is disclosed to or accessed by the Recipient in connection with their role at Roll2Heal:

Business practices, strategies, and operational procedures specific to Roll2Heals nonprofit activities, including but not limited to event planning, fundraising methods, member engagement strategies, and chapter management protocols.
Internal documents, such as bylaws, financial records, budgets, grant applications, donor lists, and strategic plans.
Member and participant data, including personal information, contact details, and participation records, subject to applicable privacy laws.
Any other proprietary information, trade secrets, or materials marked as confidential or reasonably understood to be confidential based on the context of disclosure.

Confidential Information does not include information that:

Is or becomes publicly available through no fault of the Recipient.
Was lawfully in the Recipients possession prior to disclosure by Roll2Heal, as evidenced by written records.
Is independently developed by the Recipient without use of or reference to the Organizations Confidential Information.
Is required to be disclosed by law, provided the Recipient notifies Roll2Heal in advance and takes reasonable steps to limit disclosure.

2. Obligations of Confidentiality

The Recipient agrees to:

Maintain the confidentiality of all Confidential Information and not disclose, share, or distribute it to any third party without prior written consent from Roll2Heal, except as necessary to perform their duties for the Organization.
Use Confidential Information solely for the purpose of fulfilling their role or responsibilities within Roll2Heal and not for personal gain or any other unauthorized purpose.
Take reasonable precautions to protect Confidential Information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure, including securing physical and electronic documents and using password-protected systems where applicable.
Notify Roll2Heal immediately in writing of any actual or suspected unauthorized disclosure or loss of Confidential Information. 3. Duration of Confidentiality Obligation The Recipients obligation to maintain the confidentiality of Confidential Information shall continue:
During the Recipients tenure as an officer, member, or volunteer of Roll2Heal.
Indefinitely after the termination of the Recipients relationship with Roll2Heal, unless the Confidential Information becomes publicly available through no fault of the Recipient or is otherwise released from confidentiality obligations by Roll2Heal in writing.

4. Return or Destruction of Confidential Information

Upon termination of the Recipients role with Roll2Heal or at the Organizations request, the Recipient agrees to:

Promptly return all physical and electronic copies of Confidential Information, including documents, files, and records, to Roll2Heal.
Destroy or delete any Confidential Information in their possession that cannot be returned, such as digital files on personal devices, and provide written confirmation of such destruction to Roll2Heal upon request.
Refrain from retaining any copies, excerpts, or reproductions of Confidential Information unless expressly authorized by Roll2Heal

5. Remedies for Breach

The Recipient acknowledges that unauthorized disclosure or use of Confidential Information may cause irreparable harm to Roll2Heal. In the event of a breach or threatened breach of this Agreement, Roll2Heal shall be entitled to:

Seek injunctive relief to prevent further disclosure or use of Confidential Information.
Pursue monetary damages and any other legal remedies available under applicable law. The Recipient agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Roll2Heal from any losses, damages, or expenses, including reasonable attorney's fees, arising from the Recipients breach of this Agreement

6. No Transfer of Ownership

This Agreement does not grant the Recipient any ownership, license, or rights to the Confidential Information, except as necessary to perform their duties for Roll2Heal. All Confidential Information remains the exclusive property of Roll2Heal

7. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state in which Roll2Heal is incorporated, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under this Agreement shall be resolved in the courts of that state

8. Termination of Agreement

This Agreement shall remain in effect until terminated by mutual written consent of both parties or until the Recipients obligations are fulfilled, as outlined in Section 3. Termination does not relieve the Recipient of their confidentiality obligations with respect to Confidential Information disclosed prior to termination

9. Acknowledgment and Signature

By signing below, the Recipient acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the terms of this Non-Disclosure Agreement. The Recipient further acknowledges their responsibility to protect Roll2Heals Confidential Information and the potential consequences of failing to do so
